Slow Living

We do not run tight schedules. A two-hour treatment can become two and a half if the body needs it.

The first house rule

What we mean by it

Slow is a decision,
not an atmosphere.

No thirty-minute slots
The shortest thing on the menu is forty-five minutes and most of it runs to two hours. Bodies do not unclench on a schedule built for turnover.
Treatments can overrun
A two-hour treatment can become two and a half if the body needs it. The therapist decides that, not the diary.
Mornings stay silent
On retreats, nobody speaks until eleven. It is the single change guests resent most on day one and miss most on day four.
The wifi is bad on purpose
We made the signal worse in the stone wing and left it that way. Two guests have complained in eight years.
